Something Amazing

The Lord chose this last Sunday to really bless us. For some reason Sunday we decided to start going back to church in Gridley, we knew that this would be hard and a little strange for us since we have not been back since Joe and Sara left eight months ago. Little did we know that because of this decision the Lord was about to touch us in a major way!! It was a typical CRAZY morning in the Hane home we were trying to make a 9:30 service and get Marissa all packed up and off to a girlfriends house to go camping for the night at their cabin and all this with Callie close at hand(for anyone who really knows Callie, this is all I need to say). I think Troy and I were both were feeling a lot of emotion on this morning, we were excited to see old friends and nervous about how they would look at us, comming back after this long and a bit scard about how different it was going to be with Joe and Sara and Ryan and Holly and all the Warta's gone! But we both kinda tucked that away and didn't let the other know that we were feeling this way. Well all these emotions soon just turned into pure joy when we walked through the door, we were greated with smiles and hugs and it just felt right. Callie went into Sunday school and she was so excited I was able to enjoy about 30 minutes of the service before she came back out to me this is a great start for Callie. Anyway the music was different than what Ryan did but it was good and we enjoyed it and the new Pastor was a wonderful speeker. This is where God started to talk to us. We have never had this happen to us so it sort of blew us away, so there we were sitting in church about 4 rows back and just trying to blend in, not wanting any extra attention brought to us when Pastor Shawn started speeking about questions he had about why he was brought to gridley and why he has been here for eight months when he was only supposed to be here for a few weeks to fill in then he went on about how hard it was for everyone when Pastor Joe left and how God has a plan for everyone, he had a plan for Joe in Ohio and a plan for Ryan in Oregan and how he had a plan for Shawn's family in Gridley. At this point is his discussion is when I started to feel my heart kind of pound a bit, of all Sunday's we show up on the one where he is discussing all the things that were keeping us from comming back to this church, it hurt us so much to lose Joe and Sara. Troy and I looked at each other and the goose bumps started forming on our bodies and we felt as if we were the only ones in church at that moment, like Pastor Shawn was looking and speeking to only us and top it off I could picture a beam of light shining down form the sky spotlighting us sitting in that forth row of church, every thing around us seemed to drown out and all we could hear was the words that the Pastor was speeking. Now some where in these words Shawn has spook about listening for God and hearing God!! Wow it was truly amazing. For the rest of the day Troy and I could not stop talking about what an amazing thing just happened to us. Long story short we are so happy to be back at Gridley Naz. and we will be going to church here for as long as we are possibly able to because we now know that we are supposed to do something here we are not sure what yet, we will just have to listen for God to tell us what it is.

Glad to see that God opened a door for you. I know how hard it was for you guys to take that leap of faith and God blessed you for it. He will lead you and I KNOW He has amazing things in store for the Hane Family. We love you guys so much and are excited that you've found what you've been looking for.

Thanks for sharing. The journey's been hard for all of us. In our hearts we know we're where God wants us but that doesn't mean we don't miss our precious family in Gridley. I'm so glad to hear you made it back and it blesses us more than you will ever know to hear that God is STILL at work in Gridley. We truly believe we left a piece of our hearts in Gridley. We pray that God will continue to perform miracles in northern California. Hug the kiddos for us.

Wow, what a neat thing! Thanks for sharing. I love when God speaks in ways, that is "just for us", and when we least expect it. He is so real. I hope you continue to be in awe of his presence. Thinking of you!
